Special Project Sponsorship

A Special Project Request is when a Jaycee organization conducts a community or individual development project in which the chapter want to offer tax deductible donations available to potential donors.

Requesting Process

At the time you request IJCF sponsorship, you must submit the first 7 steps of the project Planning Guide and a proposed project budget.

An organization member should appear before the Foundation Board and request the Foundation to serve as the sponsor of a the project.

Upon approval, the local chapter solicit all donations from potential donors in the name of the IJCF. Donation checks need to be made to ILJCF or Illinois Jaycees Charitable Foundation

The Foundation will maintain these funds in a restricted fund for the sole purpose of this project.

The local chapter is required to provide a list of all monetary and in-kind donations for verification.

Once the project is completed, the local chapter will submit a Grant Application to the Foundation for a specific amount of money along with the completed project financial statement.

Since the Foundation will maintain 10% administrative fee, your grant request should be for 90% of the amount collected.

The Foundation will then issue a checks to the local chapter (covering their expenses) and to the named charity for remaining funds (if applicable).
