Scholarships

The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation is a strong believer and supporter of the education process. The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation offers two scholarships open to high school seniors residing in Illinois enrolling in their first year of full-time study at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational school.

The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Scholarship

The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors and is based upon involvement, leadership roles, honors and awards, employment, personal statement, financial statement, scholastic achievement and references.


The number of $1000 scholarships awarded annually will be determined by the amount of funds raised from the result of The Larry Olsen Memorial Golf Tournament held in August of each year and through private donations from other foundations and individuals. Two recipients of the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Scholarship Award will become the nominees from Illinois for the US JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship Award.

Roger D. Colbert Memorial Scholarship

Roger D. Colbert Memorial Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors related to an Illinois Jaycee member or JCI Senator.
The Roger D. Colbert Memorial Scholarship is to all graduating high school seniors and is based on involvement, leadership roles, honors and awards, Jaycee organization participation, employment, personal statements, financial statement, scholastic achievement and sponsor letter.

The number of $500 and $1000 scholarships awarded annually will be determined by the amount of funds raised from the result of The Bubba Bash Golf Tournament held in June of each year, through private donations from other foundations and individuals and the number of eligible applications submitted.

This scholarship is named for Roger Colbert, a past Illinois Jaycee, JCI Senator and member of the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Board of Directors.

Note: Applicants who have won an Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Scholarship are not eligible for this award.
