Chapter Support

The Illinois Jaycee Charitable foundation can support Jaycee affiliated organizations in multiple ways:

Special Project Sponsorship

A Special Project Request is when a Jaycee organization conducts a community or individual development project in which the chapter want to make tax deductible donations available to potential donors.

Matching Funds

A Matching Fund Request is when a Jaycee organization conducts a community or individual development project and requests a matching funds donation from the Foundation up to a certain amount for that project

Requesting Funds

Any Jaycee affiliated organization or cause can request a donation from the Foundation.  All requests with proper paperwork are considered.

Funds may be requested through the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation from one of six funds:

  • Disaster Relief
  • Community Development
  • Emergency Medical
  • Individual Development
  • Scholarship
  • General
  • Endowment

Process

All fund requests must go before the Board of Directors for approval of disbursement. The Board meets three times during the year in conjunction with the Illinois Jaycees General Assembly Meetings. These meetings are held on a Saturday of the GA.

Anyone having a presentation or a request for funds from the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation should either contact the Foundation President no later than the 1st of the month in which a Board of Directors Meeting is held to be placed on the agenda for the upcoming meeting.

A requesting organization must complete a Grant Application that should be submitted to the Executive Director of the Foundation with all required documentation at least three days prior to the meeting.

A representative of the designated recipient or program must solicit the donation from the Board of Directors at the applicable meeting prior to distribution. The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation has the legal right to maintain up to 10% of all gifts to cover administrative costs.

Grant applications can be obtained from the Illinois Jaycee Service Center, the Foundation President or by downloading the Grant Application from the IJCF website.
