The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation is an affiliate
organization of the Illinois Junior Chamber, was founded in 1980 by several
past leaders of the Illinois Jaycee organization. It is registered as a
not-for-profit organization under the laws of the State of Illinois as a
publicly supported charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Code of
1954 – Section 501[c]3.
Our purpose of existence is to serve as a means of support
for the Illinois Jaycees. The ILJCF provides a means of receiving tax
deductible gifts for the Illinois Jaycees and their member chapters and it
awards scholarships to Illinois high school students on behalf of the Illinois
Jaycees.
The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation is supported by
voluntary contributions from Jaycees, past Jaycees, individuals, other
organizations, businesses and corporations who share a common vision for the
Jaycee organization.
Over the years, the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation
has received gifts from individuals, corporations and foundation as well as
raised funds through events and fundraisers.
The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation has disbursed over $75,000 in
college scholarships to graduating Illinois high school seniors and over
$200,000 to various charities and organizations.
The fiscal year of the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation
begins on the first day of July and end on the last day of the following June.
