Hall of Fame

In 1985, the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Founders Club established the Illinois Jaycee Hall of Fame. Honorees are selected based on their Jaycee Achievement, Character/Citizenship, Contribution to the Jaycee movement, leadership abilities and service to their community. The annual induction ceremony is held during the Illinois Jaycees TOYP Awards Banquet each May.

Hall of Fame Nominations

ILJCF Founders Club members may nominate a past Illinois Jaycee who has reached the age of 44 to the Hall of Fame. All nominations must be submitted by the announced annual deadline date. Final endorsement will be the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation Board. All nominees not selected during a given year will be retained for continuous consideration in subsequent years.

Criteria for selection is based on:

  • Jaycee achievement.
  • Character/citizenship.
  • Contribution to the Jaycee movement.
  • Evidence of leadership abilities.
  • Service to their community during and after Jaycee age.

Attributes that the committee considers:

  • Jaycee background and accomplishments.
  • Civic, fraternal, religious, and other affiliation accomplishments.
  • Academic achievements, articles published, and awards received.
  • Career work background…professional awards.
  • Personal attributes and accomplishments that exemplifies the nominee’s character.
