History

The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation is a charitable organization corporation which was founded in 1980 by several past leaders of the Illinois Jaycee organization.

They were motivated to formulate a method of raising donations in the way of gifts or grants to be used by the Illinois Jaycees and their local communities.  Its purpose of leading our organization to greater financial heights is not a service bestowed lightly nor fancifully.

Our sharing is measured in annual dollars contributed to assist others and thousands of hours of volunteer service.  We benefit, not selfishly, but for the greater good, to the benefit of the handicapped, the needy, students and our local communities.  This is how the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation helps to demonstrate that JAYCEES CARE!

Disbursement of funds or gifts to the foundation must follow certain rules and conditions set down by the IRS.  The cause for forming foundations, historically, has been to provide seed funds for development of cures for society's needs.  The Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation can help the Jaycees enhance our charitable stature.

Over the years, the Illinois Jaycee Charitable Foundation has received gifts from several corporate and foundation donors and, in turn, disbursed over $100,000 of funds to various charities and organizations. See Donations Page.

The future and what the Foundation can do depends largely on your help.  Your financial support of will move us toward even greater heights.  With our membership involvement, the Jaycees will continue to be the leadership center of the world.
